The Gateways are the main routes for visitors to the Olympic Park; in Waltham Forest this is Ruckholt Road. A project is underway to improve the environment around each Gateway with street lighting, CCTV, shop fronts and street furniture all tidied up. To gain a broader insight into local businesses hopes and fears of the changes as well provide a visual and oral record of Leyton High Rd the workshop, alongside photographer Greg Goodale are interviewing a range of businesses in the road.

The main theme is one of change: what changes they have seen during their time in the area running shops and businesses, as well as their thoughts and hopes for the impact of the Olympics.

The recordings will be used alongside the photographs in an exhibition at Vestry House museum as well as possibly some display panels in the Olympic Park itself.
