The audio stream produced by the MicPort Pro has been digitised at 24-bit, 96kHz which should give ample quality for most purposes.
On the laptop you will need recording software like Acoustica, GoldWave, Audacity etc. to save the stream to a file. It’s here in the software that you can choose to record at 16-bit or 24-bit, and at 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz or full 96kHz, depending on the nature and purpose of the session.
It’s also possible to use two MicPort Pro’s to record in stereo.
