The 2GB built-in memory gives three hours recording time at 16-bit, 44.1kHz CD quality - quite enough for most purposes; there is no removable memory.
We recently tried out the PAW120 after a little while, using a Beyerdynamic M58 reporter’s mic and were blown away.
The recording was very clean, full of detail, and with very low noise even when played out at high volume.
All in all, even better than we remembered.
And don’t forget it’s a Nagra Ares-M in all but name.
